I experience a long delay at navigation window when changing drive

I experience a long delay at MS Office XP navigation window when dropping
down to log drives (local and mapped network (WindowsServer2000) drives).
The drop-down navigation window takes 5 to 15 seconds to display each time,
i.e. when I do a file>save or file>save as and then click on the location
window at the top of the navigation window. This happens in all my MS
OfficeXP products, but not non-MS others, such as QuattroPro v8. I'm running
on a Dell 9300, XPPro SP2 with all updates. Searching newsgroups has not
been any help on this issue. Thanks

Open "My Computer" and r-click and Disconnect all unavailable (Red X'ed)
drive mappings
