I forgot my password for OneNote 2007

I think I misspelled my password when I chose it now I can't get in. My
password is 9 letters long. Anyone know how I can retrieve my work? It is
the only copy I have and is very important to me.

If you don't have the password there is no way to retrieve the data.

Has this section always been password protected? Do you happen to have a
backup of this section prior to creating the password?
