I get an error message about an open dialogue box, then system error when I
try to open a Microsoft Word document in Office 2003.

The first message reads "The command cannot be performed because a dialogue
box is open. Click OK, and then close open dialogue boxes to continue.
Then
System Error &H80040111 (-2147221231) ClassFactory cannot suply requested
class.
Then
Compile error in hidden module: main module

Disabling the Office Plugin that comes with Symantec/Norton AntiVirus should
fix the "open dialogue box" error. See
