i get 'unknown error 0x8004060c'

everytime i hit the send receive button i get 'unknown error 0x8004060c'
message on the progress report and i'm not getting my e-mails, i sent out a
message to a co-worker and she got it fine, but i can't receive any. And
now i keep getting the message even though i'm not hitting the send/receive
button

Do the "Test Account Settings" in Email Accounts first and tell us the FULL
error message.

Now, in my inbox if i try to delete a message i get a pop-up box saying "the
messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem persists,
restart Outlook" i've restarted a couple times, i even restarted my computer.
But nothing's worked.
