Hello, this has been driving me crazy for about 2 months now...
I use Outlook 2007 with Vista Premium and I have several Vonage phone lines
programmed to email me (along with the .wav attachments) when I miss calls.
This had worked perfectly for many months. I would simply click on the
attachment and it would open Windows Media Player and I could play the
message.
In an attempt to determine where the problem is coming from, I have went to
my on-line internet provider's web mail site and the .wav file works from
there. It is only when I am using Outlook. Out tests lead me to believe that
it is a setting or a problem with Outlook and these files (since they once
worked perfectly).
I get the following message in Outlook everytime I try to open the Vonage
..wav file:
"Cannot create file: voice-message.wav. Right-click the folder you want to
create the file in, and then click Properties on the shortcut menu to check
your permissions for the folder"
Can anybody shed any light on this? I've searched the internet and I read
about people discussing it but never anyone offering a solution. I also
worked with Vonage technical yesterday and they could not find a solution nor
any reference to this particular error in their files anywhere. Please help!
Thanks in advance...
