I have a hyperlink that is now set to page 8 and won't change...

This link won't change. I can go into "hyperlink" and change the address to a
web site another page in my website or to another file and it will still
remain linked to page 8.

It kind of appears to be protected, but I can't find a way to unprotect the
link.

Any experience with this or any suggestions?

Assuming you are using the Nav Bar wizard, in Version 2003.

The nav bar wizard uses the page title under tools, web options to populate
the menu text and it maintains the linking dynamically. If you use it
improperly it will break very easily. Refer to

Your best bet is to delete all instances of the nav bar and correct all page
titles and then insert a new nav bar and populate.
