i have a problem with my document

A dot shows up for every space and a paragraph sign for
every time I type enter. How can I take this off? Can you

Renee, responses are best made within the newsgroup so that others may see
the solution.

In your case, check your standard tool bar (make sure it's fully exposed).
You'll have a button with the paragraph sign on it. Pressing this toggles
on and off the formatting you're seeing.

Tools->Options->View, then clear all check boxes in
Formatting Marks
