How can I set up my laptop to only view the messages that I send and recieve
using the laptop using my WI-FI home network? That is I store the outlook
files and
folders on the desktop and can use both the laptop or desktop to do e-mail...

That way if the laptop is damages the files are safe on the desktop..

Thanks

This is UNSUPPORTED but does work. On the desktop PC, create a network
share. With Outlook closed, move (don't copy) your destop PST to the
network share. Start Outlook. When it complains that it can't find your
folders, browse to the new location of your PST, select it, and click OK.
Outlook will finish opening and look just as it always has. Close Outlook
again.

On the laptop, provided you have Outlook installed, open your mail profile
(Control Panel>Mail) and change the location of your data files to be the
one on the network share. Start Outloko and you'll see the same folders and
items as seen on your desktop.
