that was loaded on my old Dell (Windows XP)

I now have a new Dell (Windows Vista)

Can I load Office 2000 and update with 2007?

If your goal is to have Office 2007, you can purchase the Office 2007 upgrade package of choice (http://office.microsoft.com/suites)
and install it. As long as you have the CD of Office 2000 during the installation of Office 2007, you don't need to install Office
2000 to upgrade.
