I have lost my envelope icon in the In box.

I am using Outlook 2007. This morning the envelope icon (which is usually
beside every message) in my In Box is missing, so now I don't know what
messages I have replied to or not. How do I get that icon back? It is still
showing on messages in my Outbox and is next to the mail in other folders. I
can't seem to find the exact problem in the Help menu, so I hope someone
knows what I've done.

If you change your view, do they re-appear? Sounds like you might just need
to Re-add the Icon to whichever view you normally use.

Not sure if this post will show up again but F.H. I tried changing my view
like you suggested and it didn't make any difference. How do you re-add the
icon as that sounds like what I need to do? Thanks

First, go to View - Current view - Define Views. Select the View you're
using and tell us what's listed there for Fields.

If 'Icon' is missing from the list, click on Modify and then, if you've done
lots of changes to the View, just click on Fields and add Icon to the field
list.

If you haven't done any changes, just click Reset Current View.
