I have lost the menu bar in Word. How do I return Word to normal?

I'm on an office workstation running Windows XP and Office 2000. This seems
to be an isolated incident. I am the only one in my organization that has
this problem. For some reason (I use Word as my text editor in Outlook), the
menu bar has disappeared. I'm still using Word and I use the Function and
CTRL keys to navigate and format my documents, but I'm still missing a lot of
function, such as "Tools" and printing envelopes and labels. I have tried
uninstalling Office and reinstalling Office, but the problem still exists. I
use Excel frequently as well, but the lost menu bar problem only seems to
exist in Word. Can you help me retrieve it? Thanks
