I have MS Office 2003 Standard Edition, How do I UPGRADE to 2007?

I have MS Office 2003 Standard Edition....
I'm interested in upgrading to MS Office 2007 and I don't know if I can do
that with my WINDOWS XP Home. Do I need to have WINDOWS VISTA to use MS
Office 2007?

Can I "upgrade" my MS Office 2003 to either Standard 2007 or Professional
2007 without any problems? As I remember correctly, I won't have to
uninstall my MS Office 2003 (atleast I don't think I will).

Lastly....I have Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional on my computer and in MS
Word 2003 I can (right) click on the toolbar and click on "PDFMaker" and have
the icons on my toolbar to convert my MS Word Doc. to .pdf. Upon reviewing
the MS Office Word 2007, how would I ADD the Acrobat 7.0 Pro Icon to my
toolbar? Would there be any problems with that? I'm thinking it won't be a
problem.

Thanks again anyone who can answer my question on this. I've been holding
off doing this upgrade because I just reinstalled my software with my new
system (3) months ago.

Look forward hearing from you :)
Bill :)

1. Office 2007 works fine with Windows XP as long as SP-2 is installed.
2. Yes.
3. Not sure. Acrobat 7 had several issues in the beta that may now be solved. Be sure to visit Adobe.com to see if there is an upgrade/patch/fix available.

Ok...you lost me.
Your "YES" answer (#2) is to which question?
Do I need to have WINDOWS VISTA to have MS Office 2007 with my system?
I'm guessing that's not the case since you answered that I CAN have WINXP
Home (SP2). Yes, I have WINXP Home (SP2).

I look forward hearing from you.

OOOPS, disregard my last question.....the format of the questions was jumbled
and I didn't follow what you stated until I saw my format.

Thanks for answering my questions!

In addition to what Milly said, quoting from the Adobe Acrobat website:

"Acrobat 8 shipped prior to Microsoft Office 2007. Therefore, we are
currently actively testing Acrobat with the shipping version of Office
2007 and Office 2007 files. In the first half of 2007, we expect to
issue a free Acrobat 8 patch that will provide support for Office 2007.

Acrobat 7.0 and earlier will not support Office 2007 or Office 2007 files."

I wonder why Acrobat 7.0.8 won't work with the MS Office 2007. According to
Acrobat, they stated the 7.0.8 version "should" work with MS Office 2007 but
there could be some "kinks" to iron out (or fix). I'm still trying to
understand all this "Beta" thing when I'm used to dealing with MS Office 2003
Standard Edition with other programs I have that work with it.

I took a tour of WORD 2007. Not bad but it would take some time getting
used to after I've mastered WORD 2003 and all the functionalities of it.

I'll try going to Acrobat 7.0.8 and see if they have more upgrades for the
WORD 2007 compatability issues because IF Adobe came out with 8.0, they
should have the fix for 7.0 also.

Your comments ?
Thanks !
Bill :)
