I have WIndows ME OS. When I click on Office XP Word it locks up .

Word from Office XP locks up my computer or takes for ever when I click on
it. Finally when I do CTRL ALT Delete it brings on Explorer error and says
system too low on resources and then gets to scan disk.
Can you please help
