i have xp and am unable to open word or excel docs

for one year everything was fine. now i am unable to open any of my word or
excel docs. I can create new docs but when i save them i am not able to open
them.

Have you activated the program? On the Help menu, select Activate Product.
Either you'll be told that it's already activated, or the activation process
will start.
