I accidentally held a key for longer than eight seconds. It slowed down my
key stroke. How do I return to normal?

I presume you mean you held down the SHIFT key for 8 seconds.

Try holding it down again for 8 seconds - that should switch Filter Keys
off.

Alternatively go to Control Panel > Accessibility Options > Keyboard tab and
set/unset whatever options you want.
