I import a BMP...it's hazey. Why?

When I important a .bmp into Visio, it's all blurry/hazey, even at 100% zoom
and no resizing.

What gives? Is there a special setting to turn off? It's annoying.

Don't make me go back to Adobe products.

Visio. 2003 or 2007. Same behavior in both programs

Select the picture and from the menu
Format -> Picture

all the effects should be at 0%, brightness and contrast at 50%
then on the compression tab ensure that the setting is at 100%
and check the resolution is set to printer,
