I just migrated from Groupwise and I have several users crashing in Outlook 2003

I have several users crashing several times in a day after migrating from GroupWise to Outlook/Exchange2003. I have heard there is a size of mailbox issue that makes Outlook crash like this.
- the users have minimal 512MB/1GB RAM, 6 mo. old systems from HP running XP Professiona
Any ideas?
