I Keep getting Error Can not open Registry.

Recently purchased Office 2003. I have an XP system. It runs fine unless I
re-boot the system, then it trys to install when I click on Word or Outlook.
It's already installed so I don't know why it is doing this. Also, it gives
me an error message that it can not open the registry.
