I keep receiving multiple copies of every e mail

My yahoo mail works fine when I check it on the website, but every time I
check it through outlook I get 4 or 5 copies of every e mail. Sometimes, even
when I downloaded all new messagers, after a few minutes it starts
downloading them all over again. Why is this happening?

I don't have a yahoo account, but see if you can set up outlook to use
IMAP for that account and see if the problem goes away.

If the send/receive cycle doesn't complete properly, you caould have this
problem. The reasons for the send/receive cycle not completing include 1)
scanning incoming mail with an antivirus program (usually unnecessary), 2) a
send/receive cycle that is too short, 3) downloading multiple accounts that
are actually aliases of each other (i.e., one mailbox on the server), and 4)
a server timeout value that is too short. There may be others, including
some that are bugs in Outlook, but these are the most common, in my opinion.
Since you don't state your Outlook version, we can only make guesses.
