I want to interface my BCM database with Access for reporting. So I followed
the many posts here to find my BCM database (C:\Documents and
settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Business
Contact Manager) and there is not a .lbf or a .mdf file in the BCM folder.
The only thing there is the registration.xml and the startupservice.ini
files. My BCM database name is MSSmallBusiness3. I have searched the hard
drive for these extensions and db name and come up with nothing. But yet
everything works fine. Any thoughts on why I can not find anything?

When Access connects to a sql database, it does so using the sql
service, instead of using files directly. So, if you can't find the
files themselves, that shouldn't prevent you from using Access.

I second using SQL Management Express if you need to work with a
database outside of BCM.
