Basically, I need a free converter to read a .cwk (Clarisworks) file that a
colleague sent me.

If you're running Office 97 or later, the various converters are not
installed by default. You need to insert the Office CD and select add
components and search for a Clarisworks converter. If you can't find
one there try the MS website, if none there try Google.
