I Need a simple shopping cart for frontpage- nonsecure email OK!

Help I am making a art gallery web site in frontpage and want a shopping cart
and checkout thingy that could send the order by email. Shoostring budget so
will have clients call in credit info or send check.... so non-secure email
is ok.

Is there such a thing? I would settle for a shopping cart that compiles
purchaces and adds shipping & Tax.

Any advice is welcome....

Mike,

Can your (i.e. Candy Press) front-end product be used on a standalone basis?
Or does it need to have the back-end Administration module to have any
practical use? If so, then the product is not really free!

LOL, at the very least you get to find out if you can use it and deploy it
for free.

Hi Tommy

I too have an art site .. http://clarke-abstract-art.com/ as you can see I
use Paypal and Mal's e-commerce http://www.mals-e.com/ the free version. I
have a business account at paypal ... but I don't pay them anything .... any
fees come off the cost of the art sale at the POS (Point of sale) ... All my
art is Original so it really needs the cart to not allow more than one sale
of an item, however to do that I'd need a shopping cart (there are free
ones) that do that, BUT..... I want to retain control of my SEO (Search
engine optimsation) and there are no shopping carts that are free that will
do everything I want as regards SEO. So I opted to use a combination of
paypal and mals ..... and this works best.

One needs to have a product page for each item and seo needs to be applied
from the file name on downwards...one also needs content ... which is pretty
hard on an art site:)

I prefer for paypaly to handle everything but I do allow cheques to be sent
(uk or us), all I have to do after it's set up is to add new items and new
pages and add more content and better seo.

check out my site to see how I've done it. (it's quite new hence the low pr)
