I am looking for a template to help me write a letter to past customers that
haven't been buying from our company for a while to bring them back. Any
ideas?

Hire a professional secretary. If you cannot even compose a simple letter,
there is little wonder why your company is not retaining customers.
Having excellent personal and written communication skills is essential these days.
Astute customers will know if they are receiving a form letter based on a template.

We use Publisher to do mail marketing and Word to do email marketing. These
files can be linked to any customer you invoice using Small Business
Accounting:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/FX011956881033.aspx
http://www.microsoft.com/office/accounting/prodinfo/faq.mspx
Also if using Outlook with Business Contact Manager:

http://www.microsoft.com/office/outlook/contactmanager/prodinfo/faq.mspx
Using sales data you can tailor your Publisher or Word "templates" specific
to customer class/group.
