i need access to a template downloaded from microsoft

I'm trying to edit the Access 2003 "Orders Management Database" template that
I downloaded from this the home site. However, whenever I try to add a table
or anything of the kind to the file, I get a message saying that another user
has the file open, and that to save my design changes or to save to a new
object, I must have exclusive access to the file. Any ideas of how to take
exclusive access? Thank you!

Open the file from the File menu in Access using the file dialog. Go to the
appropriate folder and click in the template but don't click open yet. Beside
the open button you see a little arrow. Here you can choose how to open the
template. One of the options is to open is Exclusive.
