I don't understand what you mean by "how a current db reports were created".
If you want to know about the data source, open the Report in Design View,
click the upper-leftmost little square, right-click and choose "Properties",
click the Data Tab and look at the RecordSource property (should be a Table
name, a Query name, or an SQL Statement). To determine the source within
the RecordSource of a Control, click on the Control, click the Data Tab, and
view the Control Source. Controls can be calculated, too, and the
expression or Function reference will be in the Control Source, if so.
Have you tried, on the menu, Tools | Analyze | Documenter?
Also, MVP Jeff Conrad has a free tool at
http://home.bendbroadband.com/conradsystems/accessjunkie/csdtools.html.
There are also for-fee, third-party software packages but I don't know that
they'll tell you any more about what you want to know.
