i need help fixing two corrupt excel files

I have two excel files that seem to be corrupted. When I open these two
files, the toolbars become scattered and transparent.

I tried the checking for errors feature, disk scan and defrag. None have
correct the problem. I even tried going to file, open, selecting one of the
files and then cliking open & repair. Is there a free download that someone
can recommend that can help to fix these two corrupted fills? If I try to do
a copy paste special the menues appear all over the spreadsheet and are
transparent so Its hard to see which commands I am selecting, and then the
files freezes.

It may or may not work, but you could try opening one of the damaged files a
a new worksheet (File> New> Blank Workbook). Than you can try Edit> Move or
Copy Worksheet > in the "To Book:" dropdown box, select the new worksheet>
then check the 'Create a Copy" box and OK.
