I Need Help Learning Excel for MAC

I really need to learn how to use Excel for Mac 2004 in a pretty short
period of time. Does anyone have any suggestions. I have to learn how
to do some financial formula. I just bought Excel for Dummies but it's
only for people that have PCs. I have a MAC Power Book G4 and I need to
get a good and clear book that will explain everything to me in a
pretty easy fashion. I am bit freaked out by computers to begin with.

Read the PC book. Most of the "useful" things are transferrable (for
example, formulae). For other specifics, ask here.

Remember that, as a rule of thumb, where PC users use the Control key,
Mac users use Command (that's the one with the apple and squiggly loop
thing). Doesn't always apply, but as I say a rule of thumb.

I am bit freaked out by computers to begin with.

Relax. This dummy gets on fine. I'm sure you will too.

Hi J,

Excel comes with a pretty good manual.

From the Excel choose FILE > PROJECT GALLERY
Click on the LEARN tab
Click DISCOVERING OFFICE in the Left panel
Click OPEN
Go to the section about spreadsheets.

Also on the LEARN tab are some Excel samples.

Excel has been around a long time. Just about any kind of training aid
is available via web search. The functions and features of Mac Excel
and Windows Excel are largely the same, so don't worry about the
platform difference.
