i was making a doc in word, and i went to the template site to download a
template, and the one i wanted only was not availible for the Microsoft
Office professional i have at work, so i tried to download a free trial
version of the new one, and a customer came in and needed things printed out,
so i had to cancel the download and it took the icon for word off my desktop.
so i tried to open the program manually by going to start, then all programs
then to word, and it was on the list but when i went to open it, it said it
needed the cd or disk to be installed. so i asked my boss where the
installation disk was and he said that the computers we use came with MOP
already installed. so i have no idea how to get it back and working. ive done
system restore already and that didnt work. any ideas? thank you

Your computer vendor has to supply you with the Office CDs...........they
are at fault if they haven't.

Also a System Restore will not correct anything with Office. It will work only with correcting and restoring the Operating System only

You might try repairing the Office installation. Go to Control Panel and
start "Add or Remove Programs" then select Microsoft Office. Click the Change
button. When the installer starts, select the repair option. I won't
guarantee this won't ask for the CD but it might take care of the problem.
