I need password protection

Hi, I am a beginner in Excel and don't know much and I need some help. I
have created an excel file and I want to protect it with a password, so
someone will have to enter a password in order to enter the file. Can
someone help me how to do this. I hope there is an easy way since my
knowledge is limited.

Jimmy,

From the menu:

File > Save As
When you get the Save As window, click the Tools menu in the top right hand
side and select General Options... you're ther!

Thanks Nikos it worked fine. And I guess when I want to delete the password
protection I use the same steps right?

Yes, same steps, just make sure you enter no password before you save.

And remember that Excel's password protection is pretty weak -- it's not too
difficult to get around it.
