What I need to do is create a flyer (okay so far) but include at the bottom a
section for people to complete with their name & phone number for lucky door
prize.

I am a first time user on this so apologise in advanceif I have not given
enough information

Look at the built-in flyers in Publisher. Select flyers, Scroll down to Sale,
there are a couple with tear-offs. Tear-offs are simply tables, you can
designate the text to be rotated. Select the table, Format, table, cell
properties tab, check *Rotate text within AutoShape by 90°*

It's hard to select the tables but for some reason I can't replicate I
selected one of the text boxes in which I had inserted the information I
needed for my tearoffs, tried to move all the text boxes and then moved them
back and voila, I had all the information I typed in one text box in all the
tear off text boxes. Weird. I wish all those sections of the flyer weren't so
close together as to get them confused when you click on them. I can't always
tell which one I'm clicking on sometimes until it's too late and I do
something that needs to be undone. The Tear Off options in the Flyer Options
dialog box is also grayed out as I've mentioned in a post that I've put up.
Can this be done any simpler?

Tear offs can be easily created with a table. You can have your text flow
vertically. Fill in the first cell, copy and paste into the next cells.
Right-click the table, Cell properties tab, check text within AutoShape 90
degrees. You also can put lines around the cells and center the text.
