I need to find a template/download to develop a nursing proposal

I

I am writing a proposal for a change in nursing practice of blood products in
an ICU setting. I have never done this before and need a template or download
or something to guide me through the writing process.

Thanks, Robyn

I would suggest you seek the advice of a medical doctor
or nursing supervisor on your staff.

You can try http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/default.aspx -- but
I don't know that anything you'd turn up using Proposal as a keyword will be
specific enough to modify, even. Maybe try Process -- there's a medical
office processes template that will turn up on that search.

As it happens, I have been working on the policies for a group of medical
practices. Our parent company also owns one of the two local hospitals. My
background is *not* medical so I did some Googling for "hospital policy
manual" (and a couple other terms). There are a few hospitals, Vanderbilt
for one, that have their policies online and free access. You could use
something like that as a basis.

(It really helped me because there were times when our existing policies
were poorly phrased. Even though some of the hospital's policies were used
as a basis for ours, they still left a bit to be desired.)
