I need to fix a corrupt file in word

I have lesson plans that were created in word on my laptop and I have tried
to open them to print them at school and I am unable to open them. The
document is corrupt. Help please these plans are actually needed today!!

How are you opening them? Don't try to open directly from whatever removable
media you used to transport them. Copy to the HD first. You might try the
Open and Repair option if you have it.
