I need to import data from a scale into a form.

We have a digital scale with a serial port on the rear of the display. I
have been told by the manufacture that I can attach a serial cable to the
display and import the information into access. But they don't know how. I
have a text field for the weight. How can I bring the information into the
form?

You can use an ActiveX control to read the data from the serial port (which
can buffer some incoming data while your PC is busy to do something else).
