I need to merge variable data from an Excel spreadsheet

I have an Excel workbook with two worksheets. Sheet 1 is the mailing list, Sheet 2 is the variable data which can be from 1 to 50 different items. There is a common number that is on both sheets that determines how many variables matches to the addressee. How do I match this varible data to one document?
