I need to remove Office XP from inoperative computer and install on new one

I need to find out how I install my Office XP on my new
computer. My old lap top died and I purchased a new one.
Someone told me that I had to get a number from Microsoft,
but I can't figure out how to get a hold of Microsoft???
Can anyone help? I also have it installed on my Desk PC.
