i need to update office but have lost my cds?

i have a registered copy of office 2000 that was installed when i bought my
laptop. i am trying to download updates but cannot find my original cds.
what can i do?

Kathleen - Microsoft no longer carries copies of Office 2000 (likewise
Office 97) so this article will not be of much help to the OP.

To the OP, you can try purchasing a copy on eBay but be aware that much of
the Microsoft software sold on auction sites is not authentic.
