I paste pictures and in the print view I only see a white box

I paste pictures in aword doc and in the print view I only see a white box.
I'm using Office 2003

From the Tools menu, select Options and on the View tab, uncheck the box
against "Picture placeholders" in the Show section of the Dialog.
