I retrieved the folder back but not documents How do I find them?

I found the files but if I click on documents and go to the folder name
nothing is listed. However, I opened up one of the documents and when I did
that the Word 2007 shows the folder with all the documents but I can't get it
by clicking on the folder itself. It says there is nothing that matches.
