I See only boxes for words in office update agreement web dialog

During the update process for Office, a dialog pops up when I press the 'I
agree to these terms' button on the page listing the updates I'm accepting.
That dialog is obviously trying to tell me something, but instead of text,
all I see are characters all shaped like squares. There are 2 radio buttons,
and two push-buttons at the bottom, but everything is labeled with squares,
so I don't know what to push.

I tried going through the process from the beginning, but got the same
result. Any ideas?
