I use Office 2003;why suggesting updates for Office 2000?

This computer has Office 2003 Pro Edition on it. When I do updates it keeps
suggesting one for Office 2000 as essential, and keeps asking for my Office
2000 SR1 Premium disk. I still have the Office 2000 Premium, but it was
pre-SR1 and it won't accept this, and won't let me get past it?????

If you have any programs installed from Office 2000 Premium that weren't
upgraded because they are not included in Office 2003 (Front Page and
PhotoDraw come to mind) and if you don't use them, then look under Control
Panel->add/remove programs to remove any remaining Office 2000 programs.

Hi Rita,

If you look in Add/Remove Programs in the Windows
control panel are there any 2000 series Microsoft
progrms listed?

What specific update for Office 2000 is being suggested
and are you using Officeupdate or the Microsoft update
site?
