I want my office 2003 back!

I downloaded Office 2007, found is useless and in the meantime MS seems to
have stolen my old versions of Office and Windows! How do I get them back, I
don't have disks, it was pre-loaded on my computer and recovery disks appear
to be empty.

Short of buying a copy of 2003, you'll need to talk to the folks that
built your computer. They're responsible for providing a way to
restore office. Unfortunately it probably would mean making ALL the
software look like the computer was brand new. If you go this route,
make sure you back up all your data first.

OEM is the responsibility of the manufacturer.

That's a really cool way of Microsoft shirking its responsibilities, it
intrepidly thieves windows and office from my computer while trying to sell
me something inferior and it's not their resonsibility but the resonsibility
of my computer source. Don't you just love leviathans? I may just as well
throw the thing out the window, I'm on a disability income and can't afford
$500+ to replace what Microsoft stole. But who cares? Not the leviathan,
surely. Shame on them. Oh, and wouldn't it be a nice thing if they told you
when you download 2007 that they will take everything else from your computer
in exchange?

Did Microsoft sell you your computer? Did Microsoft refuse to supply you
with the system and Office disks?

Hi Milly, no Microsoft didn't sell me my computer but they did take my
program. And, the program worked for exactly one day. They suggested I
erase it and reload it which I did, the home/student version this time which
seems to work. They completely ignored my request to replace my program.
I've asked them again but I suspect they'll ignore my request again. A big
company like Microsoft is interested in the bottom line, shareholder value,
believe me, I worked in the hallowed halls of a leviathan myself and know the
drill. The customer comes last. Thanks for asking, though, I appreciate
your "concern". Take care.

And how did you find it "useless"? Did it not create and edit documents?

MS has NOT "stolen" anything. How could it? Have you uninstalled the trial
version of Office?

Contact your vendor, your "beef" is with them, Microsoft "stole"
nothing. It would appear that you have disabled your computer on a lark.
Shame on you for not accepting responsibility for your own actions.

Contact your computer vendor to "replace" your program, that is where
the issue is, "Microsoft" didn't provide it to you, configure it for
your computer, install it on your computer, remove it from your
computer, or have the replacement disks for your computer. That is the
responsibility of the computer vendor, and that is who will provide them
to you.
