I want my timeline to go futher back than 1900? How?

I want my timeline to go futher back than 1900's but the time format will not
allow it. How do I get the timeline to go further back in time.?

the timeline function uses the windows operating system date routines, which
don't go back before 1900 so you will probably have to draw it manually.
