I want to be able to see the picture through the words?

I would like to be able to put text on top of a picture, but I do not want to
loose the image underneath(I want it to show through). Is there any way to
do that?

Change the wrapping on the picture to Behind Text. Or, if the picture is the
important thing, and there is just a little text, leave the picture In Line
With Text and put the text in a text box with No Line and No Fill.
