I want to make my own Tablet Pen

There shouldn't be any reason why we can't rig/create our own. Or are they
sinfully proprietary?
Any thoughts/attempts?

How much are you willing to take apart one and put the whole thing in a new
pen case?
You might be better off asking Wacom (the manufactures, and copyright
owners) first.
but as my father's always said, it's better to ask for forgiveness than it
is for permission... so if youre going to make one pen I dont see any
harm... if you're planning on making a line of pens ... like the cross pen.
Then I'd really suggest talking with wacom.

You'd probably be better off asking this in the TabletPC newsgroup.

About the same answers would come there, beside the question: Why?
Inexpensive Wacom-type pens can be purchased for under $25 I believe, and
even the Cross pens (delightful!) are around $50.
