I want to publish only the selected Items in MS Project 2007 plan

We are running a project from 4 different geographical locations. There is a
PM for each location. In Project 2003 we have filters for PM so that they can
publish the tasks for their team from the Global project plan.

Now we plan to move to project 2007 and I realize that selective publishing
is not an option in 2007. Can someone please suggest a fix or an alternative?

Manish,

In a task view of Project Pro, insert the column "Publish" and set the No
value in front of tasks you don't want to publish.

Hi Gerard,

Thanks for the answer.

Its not that those tasks are not supposed to be published at all.

Scenario, is that I publish tasks for my team in India, and Uk Mgr publishes
tasks for his team in UK, and France mgr publishes tasks for his team in
france. so we want all tasks to be published in the project, but we want when
team submits their work the tasks should go to the correct PM for approval.

Regards,
Manish

If you change the status manager to each PM that is responsible for those
tasks - they will get the approval request when a team member submits from My
Tasks. Only when they approve - will the changes then be reflected in PWA
upon publishing.
