i want to see grid lines on screen but not on print out

Help anyone, i'm trying to have tables in word where i
can see where they are i.e. the table lines are visible,
but i don't want them printed out, does anyone have any
ideas?

Try Table > Show Gridlines

Hi Lisa:

To remove the printable lines: Table / Select Table
Format / Borders and Shading / None OK

Then the item: Table / Show Gridlines
versus
Table / Hide Gridlines
controls whether you get lines onscreen, at least in
Normal View.
