I just bought a new computer with windows XP. I just installed Microsoft
WORKS 2000 on it, that I had from my other computer. . I want to find
updates for it.???
and, I wish to know what updates to download, just to bring it up to date...
The program is called WORKS - not WORD - is there a difference?
THANKS

There are two versions of Works, Works and Works Suite. Works Suite
includes other applications including Word. Word will update at the Office
Update site { http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/officeupdate/default.aspx }.
As far as I know, there is no update to Works other than buying a newer
version. However, you may want to check a Works newsgroup. Here is a list
of Microsoft Public newsgroups:

I have Works Suite - It has all the extras on it like you mentioned.
I do not see any downloads there for WORKS SUITE there...Is Microsoft
office 2000 the same thing? I don't think so.
thanks Don.

Works Suite is not the same as Office. However, Works Suite 2000 contains
Word 2000 which is an Office application and has updates via the Office
Update link I provided. Under Office Update, just click on Check for Office
Updates and you will get those updates that apply to Word 2000. Ignore the
labels of the updates. Only the portions that apply to Word will be
installed.
