I want to use fax modem to send faxes. How do Install w/cable mod

I use a cable modem for accessing the web. I also want to use my installed
phone modem to send faxes and as a back up. How do I set up the fax modem so
I can still use the cable modem?

your analog modem for faxing and still have your internet connection using
the cable modem. They use different transports that do not intersect. Cable
modems do not use telephone lines and analog modems do not use cable.

I fail to see your problem. Hook up the analog modem to your telephone
jack.
