Happy New Year and Sawasdee from Thailand. I have a file that I would
like anyone who can help me to solve my problem. Please d/l my file
and help me please.... Thank you

Not saying you would purposely send a virus, but excel is known to be a
possible carrier for many viruses. A lot of people here won't download
that file on principle. You would have more and better responses if you
include your problem in the message.

Although it appears that opening files from here is pretty safe, you will
get much more help if you FULLY explain your problem and give examples with
the desired answer. Many will have the attitude that if you can't bother to
do this why should they bother to help.

BTW I did look at your file and couldn't figure out what you
wanted............

That's not the way we work here as others have explained. But we're
very friendly to newcomers to these groups.

To return - if there is missing data you need:

=IF(COUNTA(E7:H7)<4,"-",IF(SUM(E7,G7)>=10,"-",(IF(E7>F7,E7,F7)+IF(G7>H
7,G7,H7))))

You second question is confusing. From context I think that you want
the result to be as scored but *not* more than 10. In other words if
they have had a re-test, then the maximum achieved should be 10.

That would be:
=IF(COUNTA(E7:H7)<4,"-",IF(SUM(E7,G7)>=10,"-",MIN(10,(IF(E7>F7,E7,F7)+
IF(G7>H7,G7,H7)))))

But if I've misunderstood, please post back.
