Iam getting problem in word while entering the link

When I type any kind of link its giving the website address.

For eg1: when I typed (e-mail address removed) and press ENTER in the word
it has given { HYPERLINK "mailto:[email protected]" }

For eg2: When I copied a linked words "Smashing answers to common interview
questions" from the Internet page to word it has given { HYPERLINK
"http://in.rediff.com/getahead/2006/aug/17/interview.htm" \t "new" }

I'm unable to get the solution of it. Getting problem while sending a word
document with links to people.

I'll be thankful for the reply.
